Panther of Cartier

A fascinating creature, in shape or spirit, the panther is everywhere.
When Louis Cartier introduced his first Panther decor in 1914, only knew
A handful of people that he was inspired by Jeanne Toussaint, or “la panthère” as she was called.
This woman with impeccable taste wore short-cropped hair, endless
Strings of pearls and a defiantly held up cigarette holder. She also had
Nourished a passion for this most graceful of all cats. Cucked, standing,
Ready to jump, the panther appears in several poses…
Cartier returns to this theme for a collection of powerful and glasses.
Glasses in which the panther becomes the true symbol of victory.
